چکیده
Abstract Observational evidence suggests that the majority of stars may have been born in stellar clusters or associations. Within these dense environments, dynamical interactions lead to high rates close encounters. A variety recent observational and theoretical indications suggest stellar-mass black holes be present play an active role all masses. In this study, we explore tidal disruption main-sequence by young star clusters. We compute a suite over 3000 independent N -body simulations cover range cluster mass, metallicity, half-mass radii. find hole events (TDEs) occur at overall rate up roughly 200 Gpc ?3 yr ?1 local universe. These TDEs are expected several characteristic features, namely, fast rise times order day, peak X-ray luminosities least 10 44 erg s , bright optical (roughly 41 –10 ) associated with reprocessing disk wind. particular, show share many features common emerging class Fast Blue Optical Transients.

Stellar Collisions and Black Hole Formation in Dense Star Clusters
Close encounters and physical collisions between stars in young dense clusters may lead to the formation of very massive stars and black holes via runaway merging. We examine critically some details of this process, using N-body simulations and simple analytical estimates to place limits on the cluster parameters for which it expected to occur. For small clusters, the mass of the runaway is eff...
متن کاملProspects for gravitational-wave observations of neutron-star tidal disruption in neutron-star-black-hole binaries.
For an inspiraling neutron-star-black-hole (NS-BH) binary, we estimate the gravity-wave frequency f(td) at the onset of NS tidal disruption. We model the NS as a tidally distorted, homogeneous, Newtonian ellipsoid on a circular, equatorial geodesic around a Kerr BH. We find that f(td) depends strongly on the NS radius R, and estimate that LIGO-II (ca. 2006-2008) might measure R to 15% precision...
متن کاملEnhanced Tidal Disruption Rates from Massive Black Hole Binaries
“Hard” massive black hole (MBH) binaries embedded in steep stellar cusps can shrink via threebody slingshot interactions. We show that this process will inevitably be accompanied by a burst of stellar tidal disruptions, at a rate that can be several orders of magnitude larger than that appropriate for a single MBH. Our numerical scattering experiments reveal that: 1) a significant fraction of s...
متن کاملStellar collisions in young star clusters
We consider the effect of mass segregation on the observable integrated properties of star clusters. The measurable properties depend on a combination of the dynamical age of the cluster and the physical age of the stars in the cluster. To investigate all possible combinations of these two quantities, we propose an analytical model for the mass function of segregated star clusters that agrees w...
متن کاملRevisiting Optical Tidal Disruption Events with iPTF16axa
We report the discovery by the intermediate Palomar Transient Factory (iPTF) of a candidate tidal disruption event (TDE) iPTF16axa at z = 0.108, and present its broadband photometric and spectroscopic evolution from 3 months of follow-up observations with ground-based telescopes and Swift. The light curve is well fitted with a t decay, and we constrain the rise-time to peak to be <49 rest-frame...
